I spent a few days in the gorgeous towns of Canmore and Banff last week with my family. The first day was inundated with low hanging clouds, light rain and snow. We took it easy with a hike on the Grassi Lakes Trail, and as soon as we reached the lake the snow started falling. It was like being inside the most wonderful snow globe. The next few days the skies cleared up and we were treated with delicious views of snow capped mountains surrounding us wherever we went (but it was still cold af).
We stayed in the town of Canmore because Banff had no vacancy (and was a bit pricier). Canmore was a good choice because it was less crowded, had less tourists, and the town was just as postcard-worthy. It also had amazing food. We had an extremely satisfying meal at Crazyweed Kitchen on our first night. It was so nice we went twice (back on our third night).
Wish we had more days to spend there so we could hike to more lakes, but I was happy just to be there, and the few days we were there were amazing. Thanks to my sister-in-law, Vivian, for planning such a lovely trip. #BlessedAF
