Got a coveted ticket to Peacemaker Peacefest 2025!
Huge thanks to Cindy for using her @thegeekyhooker superpowers to get me this ticket. This was a big one, and it was so much fun. They completely transformed the venue into Peacemaker’s world, from the themed bar drinks and exclusive merch to all the posters and décor covering the walls. We even got Peacemaker masks and bandanas, which was so cool.
Once inside, we explored the venue, took a photo in the photo booth, checked out both floors, and waited for the ’80s metal hair band concert to start.
While we were waiting, I asked Cindy about Eagly. She had mentioned seeing on Instagram that a few select superfans at each Peacefest were hand-chosen to meet him, but these were next-level super fans, so we figured there was no way we would get picked. As we were fangirling and scrolling through photos of other lucky fans on her phone, one of the guys working the event noticed us and told his coworker to have us follow him upstairs. At that moment, we knew we had been chosen to meet Eagly, and it was absolutely amazing.
He was up on the rooftop with his handler. Eagly is actually an eagle from Dollywood, specifically from Dollywood’s eagle sanctuary.
That was hands down the coolest experience at Con this year. After that, we rocked out to The Doves of Peace, who played ’80s hair band covers from Guns N’ Roses, Poison, Ozzy Osbourne, and Def Leppard.
Best day at SDCC.
