Stranger Things 5 Volume 2

Merry Christmas, Stranger Things fans! Watching the final episodes of Stranger Things, and it’s really making it sink in that we are at the end. We’ve been watching this show for so long that it almost feels strange knowing we’re nearing the final chapter.

Volume 2 of Season 5 dropped today on Netflix, and after watching these episodes, the feeling hits even harder. Picking up right where Volume 1 left off, the story pulls you deeper into Hawkins and the lives of these characters we’ve grown up with over the years. Even without giving anything away, the suspense, humor, and heart that have defined the series are still very much there.

This season was released in parts, with the finale airing on December 31, 2025. Ending the series on New Year’s Eve feels oddly fitting. One last visit to Hawkins before everything resets. It’s wild to think that this show has been around for almost a decade. The kids are now fully grown adults, and it’s impossible not to notice how much they’ve changed.

The story itself has grown up too. It’s darker, heavier, and more emotional, but it still feels like Stranger Things at its core. Part of why I love it so much is the nostalgia…the music, the ’80s vibes, the little moments that instantly take me back. Even when things on-screen are falling apart, it feels warm and familiar.

I’m excited for the final episode, but also not ready. There’s something bittersweet about knowing this is the last time we’ll all be waiting for new episodes together. Today’s Volume 2 premiere reminds me just how much this journey has meant, and I can’t wait to see it all come together on New Year’s Eve.

One last episode. One last crawl. One last adventure.

The nostalgia is hitting. These photos are from SDCC 2017 & 2018
