Orlando, Florida, February 6, 2025 – February 9, 2025, Orange County Convention Center — Going to San Diego Comic-Con every year has completely shaped how I see fan conventions. I’m used to the excitement, the packed show floors, the incredible cosplay, and that feeling of being surrounded by people who love the same things you do. That’s probably why MegaCon Orlando has been on my radar for a while now.
Every year, fans from all over head to Orlando to celebrate comics, sci-fi, anime, gaming, fantasy, and pop culture in one massive space. MegaCon Orlando is one of the biggest conventions in North America, and from everything I’ve seen, it looks like the kind of event where there’s something happening around every corner. Between the celebrity guests, artist alley, cosplay, panels, and gaming areas, it feels like the type of convention you could wander all day and still not see everything.
I haven’t made it to MegaCon yet, but I’ve followed along through photos, videos, and friends who go, and it definitely gives off that same high-energy, fandom-forward vibe I love about SDCC. The idea of walking the floor, discovering new artists, and experiencing a different convention atmosphere is more than enough to make me want to start planning a future trip.
If you’re a fan of pop culture conventions, whether you’re new to the scene or already a seasoned con-goer, MegaCon Orlando feels like one of those events that belongs on the bucket list.
