Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft returned to Netflix with its second season today, and it feels like a confident continuation of Lara’s animated journey. If you enjoyed the first season, this one leans even harder into what makes Tomb Raider fun, big adventures, ancient myths, and a Lara Croft who is still figuring out who she is beyond being a survivor.
Season 2 picks up with Lara back on the move, chasing powerful relics across the globe and getting pulled into a mystery involving stolen artifacts tied to ancient gods. The stakes feel higher this time, and the story gives Lara more room to grow, especially in how she works with others instead of trying to do everything alone. Her friendship with Sam plays a bigger role, adding some emotional grounding to all the action.
The animation continues to be sharp and energetic, with action scenes that feel lifted straight out of the games. Hayley Atwell once again does a great job voicing Lara, capturing both her confidence and her doubts. The show balances quiet character moments with fast-paced action, which makes it easy to binge in one sitting.
So far, season 2 also feels a bit more polished overall. The villains are more interesting, the mythology is deeper, and the story flows better from episode to episode. Even if this ends up being the final season, it works as a satisfying chapter in Lara Croft’s ongoing story and a solid animated companion to the modern Tomb Raider games.
If you’re a fan of Lara Croft or just enjoy animated adventure series with strong characters and globe-trotting plots, this season is definitely worth checking out.
