Dallas weekend trip

Road trip to Dallas over the July Fourth weekend started on a Friday afternoon. We checked into the hotel (no fee pet friendly, thank you The Highland Dallas!) and then headed to our reservation at CBD Provisions. Ordered the Berkshire Pig Head, complete with puffed up crispy ear (and tongue, teeth, eye…). Soft, tender carnitas with crackling, fatty skin, roasted tomatillo salsa, radishes and tortillas.  Saturday lunch we made our way up to Plano to check out the new Mitsuwa Marketplace (hey, Mitsuwa, please open in Houston!). I love this place. All the Japanese food and goodies you can dream of. When at the Marketplace, always visit Matcha Love to get your soft serve on. A light Sunday brunch happened at Knife Dallas where my husband and I shared a 45 day dry aged 36oz bone-in ribeye, served rare. Overall, a successful foodie trip to Dallas!
