Barritt’s Ginger Beer sent me a really cool gift set full of swag along with a few cans of Ginger Beer. The set also came with menu cards of how to build your own cocktail. I don’t drink alcohol, but that didn’t discourage me from making something refreshing with the non-alcoholic Ginger Beer. My mocktail came out really vibrant and so tasty! Here’s how I made it:
Slim Virgin Sangria
1 can of Diet Barritt’s Ginger Beer
1 64oz bottle of Light White Grape Fruit Juice
2 dozen blueberries
1 dozen (halved) strawberries
1 dozen (halved) grapes
1 lime
Mint leaves for garnish
Combine Light White Grape Fruit Juice, blueberries, strawberries, and grapes in a pitcher (no ice) and let sit overnight in refrigerator. Before serving, pour Diet Barritt’s Ginger Beer into pitcher and add ice. Squeeze a bit of lime on top and garnish with a mint leaf. Enjoy! (Serves 9)
For even more fizz, I also made a Virgin Sangria version using Sparkling Grape Juice instead of the Light White Grape Fruit Juice, and that tasted just as great (a little sweeter and not as “slim”). Both versions have a subtle taste of Diet Barritt’s Ginger Beer with the juice, and it’s so refreshing.
