San Diego, July 25, 2024 – July 28, 2024 — SDCC 2024 was an absolute blast. This year felt like a return to mega‑moment energy after a couple of leaner years for Hollywood. The energy felt electric, and it was one of those years where every corner of the Con had something amazing happening.
One of the moments I will never forget was watching Deadpool & Wolverine in Hall H with Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the same room. Yes, I actually got to see them there in person while the movie played. The crowd was going wild as they joked with each other and shared stories about the film. It felt like being part of something truly special, like a giant fan celebration that only SDCC can deliver. There were even exclusive Wolverine popcorn buckets for fans, and the night ended with a massive drone show over San Diego forming images of Deadpool and Wolverine. It was pure magic.
Offsite experiences were just as incredible. FX’s The Bear pop-up made you feel like you had stepped right into the show’s kitchen. You could explore the set, grab exclusive merch like aprons, shirts, and other collectibles, and just soak up the vibe of one of the best shows on TV.
FX also brought American Horror Story to life with an immersive experience that was equal parts spooky and creative. We walked through creepy sets inspired by the show, interacted with themed photo ops, and even encountered actors in full character. It was the perfect mix of chills and thrills for longtime fans.
Hulu’s Animayhem experience was another favorite. It was like walking through a cartoon playground with rooms inspired by The Simpsons, Futurama, and Solar Opposites. There were games, photo ops, and fun challenges everywhere you looked, plus themed treats and exclusive swag to take home.
From Hall H to the offsite activations to wandering through the show floor, SDCC 2024 felt like a non-stop celebration of everything Con goers love. See you next year.
