If you love movies, anime, gaming, fantasy or sci-fi, Universal Studios Hollywood has a new event this spring that is pretty much made for you. Universal Fan Fest Nights is a new after-hours event bringing several popular fandoms together with immersive experiences, live entertainment, themed food, merchandise, and cosplay.
The event takes place on select nights from April 25 through May 18, 2025. It is a separately ticketed event and runs after regular park hours.
The lineup includes Star Trek, Back to the Future, Dungeons & Dragons, One Piece, and Jujutsu Kaisen, along with experiences in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and SUPER NINTENDO WORLD.
Star Trek: Red Alert is an immersive walkthrough aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise-D. Guests explore the ship as an interstellar threat throws everything into chaos.
DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: Secrets of Waterdeep takes guests into a fantasy adventure featuring a quest, monsters, and the infamous beholder Xanathar.
Anime fans can check out experiences inspired by One Piece and Jujutsu Kaisen. The Jujutsu Kaisen experience, Hunger of the Cursed, brings Yuji, Megumi and Nobara into an immersive adventure at the DreamWorks Theatre.
There is also themed food, exclusive merchandise, photo opportunities, and cosplay throughout the event. Universal has specifically encouraged guests to dress up, making this feel a little more like a fandom event than a typical theme park night.
You don’t have to stick to just one fandom. You can go from Star Trek to Dungeons & Dragons to One Piece in the same night, while also getting the chance to see other fans’ cosplay and check out the themed food and merchandise.
